Unions are organizing a day of action on pensions on Monday, including a demonstration at the Pensions Tower in Brussels. According to the railway unions, the subject is very present among railway employees. Government negotiators’ plans threaten to have a major impact on them, ACOD warned last month.
The strike will last from Sunday January 12 at 10 p.m. to Monday January 13 at 10 p.m. The strike notice applies to all employees of the Belgian railways, namely SNCB, Infrabel and HR Rail.
As usual, SNCB will develop an alternative schedule with non-striking staff. This will be communicated on Saturday, reports HR Rail. The project will appear in the SNCB online planner from Sunday.
