When Nintendo normally releases a Nintendo Switch firmware update, it results in a version number change and, at a minimum, a handful of changes confirmed via patch notes. For these updates to install, the console must restart.
From time to time, Nintendo releases a firmware update that does not require a reboot. These rebootless updates are usually very small and patch notes are generally not released. The console therefore goes to 19.0.1, and Nintendo was once again rather stingy with official information on the patch.
That said, dataminers are quick to jump on these no-reboot updates and dig in to see what they include. This time around, it looks like updates have been made to the Switch’s bad words list. The list itself has been revamped, presumably to reduce the risk of false positives, and a few more words have been added to the Russian list.
