After NVIDIA’s announcement last night of the arrival of the new NVIDIA RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti and 5070, it is normal to see announcements from the Greens’ partners arrive. And it is from ASUS that we are entitled to a new series of graphics cards which bear the reference “ROG Astral”! This new series seems to be the new high-end from ROG, surpassing the “ROG Strix” range.
Good news, since this “ROG Astral” series will be available in a version aircooling, with a cooling system equipped with not three fans, but four fans! Also note that a model equipped with an AIO type liquid cooling system will also be available and will carry the reference: ROG Astral LC. In the video offered by ASUS, this series only seems (currently) available on the two high-end models, namely the RTX 5080 and the RTX 5090.

Aesthetically, the visuals leave no doubt about the high-end side of the card. ASUS has chosen to no longer use thermal paste between the radiator and the graphics chip, but a pad thermal. This ROG Astral benefits from a fourth fan which will be responsible for optimizing cooling, but reducing noise pollution. ASUS also announces temperatures dropping by up to 10°C.
The ROG Astral LC model is associated with a 360 mm radiator equipped with three fans. A fourth is inserted into the card shroud in order to provide additional cooling to the various components of the PCB, as was already the case with the ROG RTX 3090 Ti Strix LC OC. Besides, don’t hesitate to stay connected to our site, you should discover this new ROG Astral series soon.
