The Burgundy-Franche-Comté Regional Economic Agency (AER BFC) begins a new phase in its history with the appointment of Agnès Ramillon as General Director. Succeeding Martine Abrahamse Pleux, who has led the organization since its creation in 2017, Agnès Ramillon takes the reins of a structure at the heart of the region’s economic development.
A transition marked by experience and commitment
With a DESS degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Burgundy, Agnès Ramillon has nearly 40 years of experience in the field of economic development. After starting at Société Générale as SME/Associations Market Manager, she held strategic positions at the Burgundy Regional Council, the Grand Chalon urban community, and the Sénart Public Development Establishment.
His 25 years dedicated to the implementation of public policies give him in-depth expertise in the expectations of communities and businesses. This appointment also marks the return of Agnès Ramillon to her native region after several years in Île-de-France.
The ambitions of the AER BFC under new management
Agnès Ramillon affirms her determination to meet the challenges of the largest industrial region in France:
“I am determined to promote the attractiveness of the Region, support businesses, and support the territories in a demanding economic context. »
The AER BFC is based on strategic objectives clearly defined in the Regional Plan for Economic Development, Innovation and Internationalization (SRDEII), in particular:
- Develop economic activity and employment in the 8 departments of the region;
- Strengthen innovation and ecological and economic transitions;
- Support territories in their development strategies;
- Promote the economic attractiveness of the region.
These missions are carried out in synergy with a network of 300 local economic actors, including the State, consular chambers, and local authorities.

Under previous management, the AER BFC was able to position itself as a key player in regional development. ISO 9001 certified since 2021, the agency guarantees services that comply with legal requirements and clear and efficient processes.

Alongside her Deputy Director General, Anne-Gaëlle Arbez, Agnès Ramillon will lead a team of experts dedicated to promoting the region’s sectors of excellence, from agri-food to ecological transition through digital technologies.
