The bill is starting to get hefty. All the World Anti-Doping Agency contributors (AMA) are not up to date with their payments. This is particularly the case for the United States. According to the TASS agency, which relies on WADA documents, the Americans still have to pay $3.6 million for the year 2024. The United States has expressed recurring criticism of WADA’s governance, particularly on transparency, resource allocation and the fight against Russian or Chinese doping. They have repeatedly called for structural reforms. Russia’s slate is also high : $2.5 million for fiscal years 2023 and 2024. Spain completes the podium of bad payers with a debt of almost $694,000. Delays likely to impact the fight against doping at the international level. The subject will certainly be put on the table of the World Conference on Doping in Sport in December in Busan (South Korea).
