Wolverhampton will formalize the arrival of Emmanuel Agbadou from Stade de Reims, but according to the British media GiveMeSport, the Wolves will not stop there and try to recruit Auxerre defender Clément Akpa.
It has been in the air for several days, this time it is certain: Emmanuel Agbadou will become a Wolf. The defender of Reims stadium will join the Wolverhampton Wanderers for 20 million euros, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.
But obviously, this is not the only recruit considered by Wolves in Ligue 1. GiveMeSport reports that Vitor Pereira, the Portuguese coach of Wolves, has set his sights on the defender of‘Auxerre, Clement Bag.
At 23, the latter is a permanent AJA starter, with no less than 13 starts in Ligue 1 this season. Detected by the FC Metzhe joined the Burgundian club in 2023, when it was returning to Ligue 2. He was an architect of the immediate comeback, but also of Auxerre’s good start to the season.
According to our information, the Portuguese coach is targeting a second recruit in central defense, but with a particularity, unlike Emmanuel Agbadou : the possibility of being able to play left axis and left lateral. And there, the AJA defender ticks all the boxes.
