The year 2025 is not starting off strong in the field of French dubbing, because we have just learned of the death of Benoît Allemane at the age of 82which he had just had on December 28th. Even if his name or his face mean nothing to you, you have inevitably already heard his voice at least once as his voxography is so full, with actor Morgan Freeman at the top of the listwhich it doubled for around thirty years. As for video games, he will forever remain a meme with his phrase Link: The Faces of Evil twisted in many ways: “My little one, this peace is what all true warriors fight for. » Since 1992, for example, he has lent his voice to Kain in the various Legacy of Kainto the sorcerer Yen Sid In Kingdom Hearts II and both Epic Mickeyhas Juhani Otso Berg in several Assassin’s Creed or even theEmperor Calus In Destiny 2. Benoit Allemane, a friend I shared with many, many people, passed away last night. He had just celebrated his 82nd birthday.
Great actor, immensely popular voice, great gentleman, and modestly, handsome and sweet friend who had given me the honor and pleasure of participating in my 3 films. A tough guy in business, a grandfather with a heavy past, a wise old tree, he had agreed without question to lend his voice, his physique, his talent to my projects, in addition to carrying his kindness, his modesty, his humor and this discreet way of adapting to everything. Here is a little montage, a few extracts from our projects together, as a little personal tribute.
