NaturaDream won the gold medal in the 2025 Innovative Housing Competition of the French Building Federation (FFB).
The Jury Prize for the 2025 Innovative Habitat Challenge from the FFB Habitat Pole was awarded to the Triais company for its houses called “Naturadôme”, two of which were built in Lapeyre.
Among 26 applications submitted by major French construction groups, Naturadream’s commitment to efficient and aesthetic environmental architecture was rewarded.
The jury’s special prize is a real source of pride because it corresponds to recognition in all categories presented: a societal response, affordable housing, carbon neutrality, a remarkable achievement by developers and builders, sustainable cities, a transformation of the existing urban fabric, and the renovation of the existing. Among the competing applications, there were projects for entire villages and eco-neighborhoods presented by the largest French companies.
The jury included representatives of all trades linked to construction, which is why “this Special Jury Prize is a real achievement” according to its founding director, Benoit Darré, who adds “it is the Holy Grail of awards granted by the Federation”.
Naturadream, a brand of the Pomès-Darré group, also won the silver medal in the Carbon Neutrality Cap category.
Indeed, Naturadomes combine a certain number of construction processes and recycled materials which constitute an innovative eco-construction solution and transform the home into a carbon sink. The concept is based on a green dome structure based on a recycled metal structure from old military hangars.
The house, with two facades, also uses local materials such as wood and stone. It is naturally heated in winter by its large glazed surfaces, and cooled in summer by its vault covered with a layer of wood chips and earth from the construction site.
The company has already built several dozen of these eco-constructions throughout France and, now, it is offering a new generation that can be adapted according to the buyer’s wishes. To complete its “good living” homes in harmony with nature, NaturaDream offers innovative lagoon-shaped swimming pools with natural rock waterfalls surrounded by vegetation.
