Death of Jeff Baena, director and husband of actress Aubrey Plaza, at 47

DEATHS – Jeff Baena, husband of successful actress Aubrey Plaza and director, died at his home at the age of 47 on Friday January 3, according to American media. The screenwriter was found dead at his home in Los Angeles and the causes are not yet known, according to TMZ et Variety.

According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, his assistant found him and police and firefighters went to his home Friday morning to find him dead.

Jeff Baena is particularly known for having directed the films Life after Beth et The little hours) released in 2017, starring Alison Brie, Dave Franco, Kate Micucci, Aubrey Plaza and John C. Reilly.

In a long-term relationship with Aubrey Plaza

Before becoming a director, he worked as a production assistant for Robert Zemeckis and David O. Russell. With the latter, he also co-created the screenplay for J’adore Huckabees(2004) with Jason Schwarzman, Dustin Hoffman, Naomi Watts and Jude Law.

Since 2011, he was in a relationship with actress and comedian Aubrey Plaza, recently seen in the Disney series Marvel Agatha all along, The White Lotuset Megalopolis. Before that, she was revealed in the series Parks & Recreation.

In May 2021, the actress revealed in an Instagram post that they were both married.
