For his second Cyclo-cross of the season, Wout van Aert won the seventh round of the Superprestige in Gullegem.
Wout van Aert won the Gullegem Superprestige this Sunday. For his second meeting of the winter, the Visma | Lease a Bike took the lead. On the last lap, he took advantage of Iserbyt’s mistakes to fly to victory. Iserbyt took second place ahead of his teammate Michael Vanthourenhout, who completed the podium. Niels Vandeputte retained the lead in the general classification.
Among the women, an hour and a half earlier, Lucinda Brand won. Despite a rather complicated start, the Dutch champion returned to the front of the race before distancing everyone on the last lap. She is ahead of Ceylin Del Carmen Alvarado and Zoe Backstedt. Brand takes the overall lead, one point ahead of Alvarado.
