FC Barcelona is about to exhaust all possible avenues to register Dani Olmo, while the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is also unlikely to change the situation in view of LaLiga’s refusal.
According to Marca, the Blaugrana board of directors has hinted that it could contact the RFEF, however, this organization currently has no documentation to validate the registration of the Spanish midfielder.
In this context, Marca reports that the RFEF will support LaLiga and inform FC Barcelona that Olmo’s registration cannot move forward due to missed deadlines.
As a result, the only option left to the culé council will be to turn to the courts, where two previous judgments have been unfavorable and have confirmed LaLiga’s position, portending a bleak future.

The deadline for FC Barcelona to request new registration for Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor ended on December 31, which would have allowed the players to be put into the lineup at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. However, this request was not made.
The Catalan club said on social media that it had not requested an extension to register the two players, instead opting to resubmit the registration to LaLiga.
Shortly after, LaLiga rejected the registration of Dani Olmo, citing that Barcelona’s board failed to follow required deadlines and procedures.
In this situation, Olmo and Víctor are free to negotiate with other teams, not having official registration in Spanish football. For now, Olmo is not looking to leave Barcelona and is hoping for a resolution to the situation.
At the same time, several Spanish clubs are monitoring the situation and could resort to legal action if Culés receive late registration or field players without prior registration.
