Seven medals for the Victoria club at the Abaldiño Vasco Open.
More than thirty clubs from Segovia gathered at the headquarters of the Territorial Football Federation where they were summoned to a meeting with the president of the Territorial Football Federation, Marcelino Maté, and the secretary, Francisco Menéndez (accompanied by the provincial delegate José Soriano). The aim was to clarify the issues surrounding the €1,000 fine imposed on Gimnástica Ayllonesa, which sparked a series of club protests that resulted in fines of €40 for more than thirty of them due to conduct deemed ‘seriously contrary to sporting order’, to which the grassroots entities of Segovia reacted.
These entities described the actions of the Federation of Castile and Leon and its Segovian delegation as ‘surreal’, in a statement affirming that “this peaceful and symbolic act serves to invite the Federation to reflect on several issues that endanger the viability of grassroots football in our province.”

The meeting seemed to be the best way to defuse tensions and avoid a clash which could have resulted in the withdrawal of a significant number of Segovian clubs from federated competitions by the end of the current season, a scenario which remains to be seen. spirit of many actors supporting these clubs.
For more than two and a half hours, the president and secretary of the Territorial Federation listened to the demands of the Segovian clubs, although it appeared from the start that the sanctions imposed on the clubs would not be lifted. As a result, Gimnástica Ayllonesa’s requests for the €1,000 fine for the suspension of their match in the provincial cadet league were essentially rejected, pending the decision of the Castile and Leon Sports Court.
However, beyond the requests of the clubs and the reasoning put forward by the representatives of the federation based on legal regulations, a solution emerged from the dialogue: the clubs must send specific proposals to the Territorial Federation for consideration and inclusion during the next general assembly scheduled for July, where they will be voted on by the other clubs of Castile and Leon.

Two demands dominated this list, which do not only concern Segovian sporting entities, but represent widespread problems across football and futsal in Castile and Leon: the proportionality of sanctions and the lack of flexibility regarding coaches and delegates .
However, although clubs must now agree on how to formally submit these requests, the feeling expressed by representatives at the meeting in Valladolid was that there had been progress… but minimal. Dialogue is never a bad thing, although progress has been far from significant given that weeks could pass before proposals submitted by applicants are considered. In the meantime, the decision whether or not to continue with their demands will be up to the clubs.
