The first four participants in the 2025 Leaders Cup are already known, with Cholet, ASVEL, Paris and JL Bourg. Thus, four places are still to be allocated for this mid-season tournament, which will take place for the first time in Caen from February 14 to 16, 2025.
A suspenseful 15th day of Betclic ELITE
There is still one day of the championship, the 15th, before the end of the first leg of Betclic ELITE, which will confirm the places for the Leaders Cup 2025. There are also two matches left to play on the 14th day, with Stade Rochelais – ASVEL and Monaco – Élan Chalon.
One day before the deadline, the ranking of teams still affected by qualification for the Leaders Cup is as follows:
- 5th: Monaco (8 victories), +92
- 6th: Saint-Quentin (8 victories), -15
- 7th: Le Mans (8 victories), +28
- 8th: Strasbourg (7 victories), -14
- 9th: Nancy (7 victories), -38
- 10th: Nanterre (6 victories), +10
- 11th: Gravelines-Dunkerque (6 victories), -52
In the event of a tie, direct confrontations are not taken into account to determine those qualified for the Leaders Cup. According to article 265 of the LNB regulations, the criterion used is the average basket over all matches in the first leg. If that is not enough, the number of points scored in the first 17 matches prevails and finally, only the direct confrontations.
The 15th and final day of the first leg of Betclic ELITE will take place on the weekend of January 10 to 12. And it will reserve several clashes between direct competitors, with Le Mans – Gravelines-Dunkerque on Friday 10, then Saint-Quentin – Strasbourg the next day.
