A very competitive week ends at the Star Academy. As the semi-finals of season 12 approached, Michael Goldman imposed a marathon of evaluations on the academics. Dance, theater and singing events took place at the Château de Dammarie-les-Lys. At each stage, a student lost his chances of being immunized and therefore automatically qualified for the semi-finals. At the end of this week of competition, Ebony was named the big winner by the teachers while Ulysse, Charles, Franck and Marine are in the hot seat for the bonus on Saturday January 4. While waiting to know the name of the candidate eliminated at the gates of the semi-finals, the evaluation table has been revealed on social networks and there are surprises.

While Ebony came in first place and Marine in third position in the ranking of the week, the two students were rather criticized by the teachers in the evaluation table. “You need to balance the harmonics of your voice. Your closed vowels are sometimes almost shrill and can harm the harmonization of registers”remarked Sofia Morgavi about Marine's assessment. “A beautiful vocal performance, nice nuances at the beginning but too vague a readability in the interpretation, lack of break and evolution in the story”, reproached Marlène Schaff for her part. Ebony didn't fare any better. “You could play with your tone even more”the singing teacher advised her. “You put your intensity in your voice, you can also put it in your body and your gaze. Watch out for the head that goes backwards. We are losing you, and we love seeing you so much!”also warned the stage expression teacher.

Unlike the singing and stage expression teachers, the director of the Star Academy was impressed by Ebony and Marine. “You have the mentality and demands of a pro, coupled with remarkable sensitivity and musical maturity”he congratulated Ebony before adding: “We are proud to have you in the semi. Well done Ebo!” Marine also received compliments from Michael Goldman. “A grace that I did not know in dance, a comic force that I knew well in the theater, progress that I had already been able to observe in stage expression and an instrument that is still exceptional in singing. Quite capable”he judged the student's evaluations.
