The selection process for the Grand Prix Valérien 2024 de la Résistance included several phases: development of three preliminary lists in September, October and November by cultural mediators, followed by a final selection.
The five nominated works were announced on November 15, and the Grand Prize is awarded during the Resistant Book Fair in December in Paris.

The jury, made up of mediators from the HLMN-IdF, members of the ONaCVG, and the association of Friends of the Resistance Foundation, also includes eminent figures such as historians and critical journalists.
