The sky certainly fell on his head on this tragic morning, marked by the broadcast of the terrible news of the death of his daughter, Diary Sow, a Franco-Arabic student. Seydina Sow, at the civil registry, is an inconsolable father who still mourns the loss of his daughter whom he cherished so much. A cruel pain that he is not about to forgive his neighbor, and now ex-friend, El H. Modou Fall, the alleged executioner of his daughter.
Aged 39, Seydina Sow was away from home on the night of December 31. A driver by profession, he had gone to Dakar that night and did not return home until late, precisely around 2 a.m. Having noticed the absence of her daughter, Seydina opened up to her wife, who told her that Diary Sow had temporarily moved away to celebrate with her neighborhood friends during a milk party organized at the Fall home, commonly called “The old man’s house”located a few blocks away. Reassured by these words, the head of the family, exhausted after a long day of work, retires to his room to rest.

According to information reported by L’Observateur, Seydina Sow will suddenly be snatched from his sleep by his wife who, in the early morning, tells him that Souadou is nowhere to be found and has given no sign of life all night. A hunt is immediately organized to find the young girl. The father travels through the neighborhood and even goes to the Fall home. There, he is greeted by the servant, who assures him that Souadou is no longer there. Still according to L’Observateur, the servant then told him that she had spent the night with little Anna, and that they had fallen asleep together at one o’clock in the morning.
In good faith, the servant reassures the father, unaware that in reality, little Souadou was already lifeless, her inert body resting in the bathroom on the first floor. It was only a little later, alerted by the cries of distress of Anna Fall, who had just discovered her friend’s remains in the bathroom, that the servant understood the extent of the tragedy. This tragedy, which shook the entire community, leaves a family in mourning and arouses indignation among neighbors.
