The actor Dimitri Boetto was arrested on the evening of Wednesday January 1, 2025, at Lyon Saint-Exupéry station, while he was on a train, announced our colleagues from the newspaper Progress. The 51-year-old actor is suspected of having beaten his former brother-in-law to death earlier in the day. France Bleu actually reported that a fight had broken out in the town center of Apt, in Vaucluse, in the south, and that a man had been discovered unconscious, after having been beaten, near a bar. The latter would then have succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Our colleagues explain that Dimitri Boetto was arrested on a train coming from Avignon and heading to Paris, “in his wagon without putting up any resistance“, and placed in detention in the premises of the Border Police, at Saint-Exupéry airport, before being transferred to the gendarmerie. The actor allegedly confided during his interrogation that he did not know that his step- brother died from his injuries. Progress also states that “the reason for the fight would be a family disagreement“. Interviewed at the end of 2023 by the Youtube channel Shot mediahe had confided in his previous setbacks with the law: “I was incarcerated for several years for acts of criminal conspiracy and possession of weapons. (…) I had the wrong codes. I expressed myself with the codes of the young male full of testosterone and it landed me in prison“, he explained.
