“I saw lots of young people running away, like that, suddenly. And just afterwards, I saw the flashing lights of the police and firefighters approaching.” Thursday January 2, shortly after 8:30 p.m., emergency services intervened to assist a young man injured with a stab at the corner of Square de Slovakie, in the Blosne district, in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). In vain. The victim died. “I was walking my dog, I saw it getting agitated. I didn't understand at first. And then I saw the body of the young man lying down. The police had covered him with a sheet,” explains this resident of the neighborhood. According to our colleagues at West Francethe victim was 24 years old.
So far, no arrests have taken place. The day after the homicide, some residents discovered the news. “I saw flashing lights last night but I didn’t know it was so serious,” said a resident of Square de Slovakie. “I’ve lived here for twenty years. In general, we don't have any problems. There are many dealers but they are a little further away, towards the metro station (Du Blosne) or the shopping center (Du Landrel). »
