The actor, who is due to return to the screen in 2026 for a new part of “Spider-Man”, indicated that this choice would allow him to devote himself fully to his role as a father and his passion, golf.

Soon no more Tom Holland in the cinema? Interviewed in Men’s Health magazine, the 29-year-old actor confided that he would end his career the day he had children.

“When I have children, you won’t see me in movies anymore. I will disappear from the face of the earth,” he said.

Tom Holland, who went public with his relationship with actress Zendaya in 2021 after their roles in Spider-Man: Homecomingspecified that this choice would allow him to devote himself fully to his role as a father and to playing golf.

Return to the screen from 2026

Unlike Zendaya who has had a series of film projects in recent years (Challengers, Dune, Euphoria…), Tom Holland has been more discreet since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021 and Uncharted in 2022.

A necessary break, according to the actor who began his career in theater at a very young age. “It was something I needed to do. I’ve been playing non-stop since I was 11,” he recalls.

But from 2026 Tom Holland will once again be able to put on his Spider-Man costume for a fourth part of the franchise – filming of which is due to begin in the summer of 2025 – as well as for the new Avengers: Doomsday.

The actor and his partner Zendaya will also appear in the same year in Christopher Nolan’s next film, The Odysseyalongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron.
