The accused was therefore found guilty of the murder of Marie-Christine – known as Christine – Francis, in the victim’s house, rue Demi-Lune, in Mont-Saint-Guibert.
To determine the sentence, the court and the jurors took into account several elements including the extreme seriousness of the facts and the relentlessness shown by the convicted person, causing the brutal death of the victim.
24 Hours Cycling: DJ Antoine distributed roses, the Kot-à-Jeux was the most beautiful
For these 24 Hours of Cycling, DJ Antoine performed the final concert before the announcement of the results, on Wednesday October 23, 2024. It was the helicopter of the American army of the students of Kot-à-Jeux which won This year.
As expected, the match was played with Kot Méca who finished second with his Martin tow truck from the animated film Cars. His students were therefore unable to retain last year’s title. When the results were announced, you could see the disappointment on their faces. It is, certainly, only a postponement.
Radon Action 2024 has started
On October 1st, the Radon Action of the SAMI of Walloon Brabant was launched. It continued until December 31. The objective of this campaign is to inform the population about the risks linked to radon, to encourage screening measures and to highlight prevention and remediation solutions. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in soil and rocks. It cannot be seen or felt, but can infiltrate any building (houses, offices, schools, etc.) via cracks in floors and walls, but also via sanitary equipment. Once inhaled, radon can cause health problems: after tobacco, radon is the second cause of lung cancer in Belgium.

Mission Hera: UCLouvain involved
“One day or another, the planet will tremble under the threat of a large asteroid heading straight towards it. And to avoid the tragic end that the dinosaurs experienced, we must prepare for it”supported, in a press release, UCL which is involved in the Hera mission to defend the planet.
On Monday October 7, at 4:45 p.m. (Belgian time), a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket was going to take off from Florida. On board, the European space probe Hera. Its mission: to collect data from the asteroid Dimorphos to be able to reproduce the deviation of such a celestial object that would threaten to hit the Earth.
It will take two years for the probe to reach Dimorphos, which will then be more than 200 million kilometers from Earth.
