Kédougou, Jan 2 (APS) – Two private television and radio channels whose ambition is to contribute to the integration of southeastern Senegal with the rest of the country, were launched Thursday in Kédougou, during a ceremony chaired by the deputy governor in charge of development, Mouhamadou Moustapha Gaye.
SK2tv and SK2 Fm are “two communication platforms” called to establish “a bridge” between the inhabitants of Kédougou and the rest of Senegal, declared Mamadou Diallo, general manager of the group to which SKtv2 and SK Fm belong and whose promoter is the mayor of Kédougou, Ousmane Sylla.
Speaking in the presence of administrative and local authorities, journalists and religious and customary figures, the manager of the new group expressed his ambition to “become tools at the service of information, culture and development of the Kédougou region.
“Too often, our dear region is perceived as distant and disconnected, SK2tv and SK Fm are correcting this vision, by putting Kédougou at the center of exchanges, giving a voice to our communities and promoting our local talents. And we will cover all the news in real time,” promised Mamadou Diallo.
The deputy governor of Kédougou sent his congratulations to the new group and its promoter for its “active contribution to the effort [de] awareness raising for a perpetual quest for information transparency […] ».
“It’s a great effort made by the promoter and the entire SK2tv and SK Fm team for visibility […] from the Kédougou region,” greeted Mouhamadou Moustapha Gaye.
