A man suspected of being involved in a fight which led to the death of the victim on Wednesday January 1, 2025, on the steps of a café in Apt (Vaucluse), was arrested this Thursday.
Arrested on the TGV in Lyon Saint-Exupéry
The suspect was arrested at the Lyon Saint-Exupéry station from Colombier-Saugnieu (Rhône), next to the airport, while he was on a TGV heading to Marne-la-Vallée.
“The author, originally from Paris, left the victim lying on the ground and left,” said in a press release the Avignon public prosecutor’s office which opened an investigation for assassination. The victim was seriously injured in the attack after receiving several blows and eventually died in hospital.
Actor in the series “So far so good” on Netflix
The man arrested by the Lyon police would be Dimitri Boettoaged 51, an actor seen in a Netflix series and in several films at the cinema, reveal our colleagues at Progress. The French actor played the role of Mario in the Netflix series So Far So Good and the role of Ishak in the film The Last Queen in 2023.
He was also in the casting of the France 2 television film Aside de ses pompes and Burn out, a film with François Civil.
Already experienced prison
In an interview published a year ago on YouTube, Dimitri Boetto revealed that he had already served time in prison, being “incarcerated for several years for acts of criminal association and possession of weapons. I had the wrong codes. I expressed myself with the codes of a young male full of testosterone and it landed me in prison.”
The suspect was arrested by personnel from the PAF (border police) and the Lyon BAC. The man will be interviewed by the Avignon gendarmes in charge of the investigation.
The victim would be the brother-in-law of Dimitri Boetto, according to Progress and it was a family dispute that allegedly caused the fatal fight.
