GTA 6 is eagerly awaited by players and every little image before the game’s release is dissected. This is still the case today.
Rockstar on the run
Grand Theft Auto has largely established itself as one of the most popular gaming series in the world. With GTA VIscheduled for the end of 2025, players are impatiently awaiting any communication from Rockstar. If the developer has a reputation for communicating where he wants, when he wants, it seems that it is still impossible for him to escape the leaks.
Indeed, several images and videos of the game were published “under the cover” even before its announcement: leaks that do not seem ready to stop any time soon. Recently, players actually got their hands on a handful of stolen footage from the upcoming GTA. The main image, the photography of a screen on which a “preview” version of GTA VIappears to show Lucia, one of the two main characters, in front of a military base.
Doubts, windows and devkits
However, fans, although excited to have new information on this long-awaited game, express doubts about the veracity of the photographs. While many observers have drawn connections between the shape of the windows visible in the background and the windows of the Rockstar San Diego offices, others seem hesitant about what they think could be a Photoshop montage. In addition, other players were surprised by the shape of the controller placed next to the screen.
Indeed, we can see a PS5 devkit placed on the desk, next to which rests a controller more resembling the Dualshock 4 of the PlayStation 4 than the DualSense of the PS5. However, it must be remembered that the PS5 devkits were accompanied by a prototype of the DualSense which then looked much more like the DualShock 4 than its final design. In any case, the information provided by this new image remains quite limited beyond the possible existence of a military base in the future open world of GTA VI. If players are waiting for a new trailer and rumors about it are spreading regularly, Rockstar doesn’t seem particularly eager to release said trailer.
