We are there! Since Wednesday, January 1, the Earth has begun its 2025th tour around the giant star of the solar system: the sun. So what does this new year have in store for us in terms of ? Discover the program.

Before CAN 2025 which will begin on December 21 in Morocco, ending on January 18, 2026, several other competitions will take place during this year. It is obviously the CHAN, the equivalent of the CAN for local players, which will launch the hostilities. The tournament is scheduled for February 1-28 in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The CAN U17 will open from March 30 to April 19, 2025 in Morocco. It will be followed immediately by the CAN U20, scheduled from April 26 to May 18, 2025 in Ivory Coast. The summer will be devoted to the women’s CAN, postponed for a year and scheduled from July 5 to 26 in Morocco.

Aside from the CAN, 5 World Cups will be followed in 2025. The most anticipated will obviously be the first edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in the new format. Al Ahly, Esperance Tunis, Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca will represent Africa in the United States from June 15 to July 13.

Two World Cups will be played in Africa this year. The U20 World Cup (September 27-October 19), the U17 World Cup (November 5 to 27) as well as the U17 Women’s World Cup, scheduled from October 17 to November 8 in Morocco. A little earlier, Africa will host its first Beach World Cup in Seychelles from May 1 to 11, also in the presence of Senegal and Mauritania.

Other events include the continuation of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the Arab Cup that FIFA will organize at the end of 2025. The 2nd edition of the African Football League could also finally take place.
