Three fire engines deployed around the building

In total, three fire vehicles were engaged by the Côte-d'Or departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis 21) from the Montbard, Semur-en-Auxois and Venarey-Les Laumes barracks. A team from GRDF also went to the site, as well as Martial Vincent, deputy mayor of Montbard in charge of the living environment.

It was actually a false alarm. No presence of gas was noted at the scene.

A problem has been discovered with a boiler

After carrying out reconnaissance with GRDF agents, the firefighters finally discovered a technical problem with a boiler. “There is no health risk. The apartment in question was isolated while awaiting the arrival of a repairer,” underlines Captain Alain Payebin, who was in command of the intervention.
