His house is destroyed by fire on New Year’s Day, south of Caen

It was a little after 3 p.m. this Wednesday January 1, 2025 when the Calvados firefighters are alerted about a fire in progress in a house located at Bourguébussoutheast of Caen. Four emergency centers were immediately mobilized: Ifs, Caen-Couvrechef, Troarn and Bretteville-sur-Laize.

Firefighters evacuate 10 people

In total, 27 firefighters intervened. Once on site, in addition to the usual reconnaissance, the firefighters participate in the evacuation of the people present, in the house and in the pavilions in the immediate vicinity. 10 people in total are evacuated. The neighbors were outside their homes for almost four hours. “But the main thing is that everything is fine,” confides a neighbor to Liberté Caen.

According to firefighters, the house was completely destroyed by the fire. The fire did not cause any serious injuries. The other pavilions around were not affected by the flames.
