Monday is the final day of the 57th edition of the Classic Wesmen women’s basketball tournament. The University of Winnipeg plays bronze against the University of Fraser Valley. Winnipeg team player Jazmin Birch looks back on this eventful competition.
Jazmin Birch is pleased with her team’s performance after an opening win over Thompson Rivers University and a loss to the University of Guelph.
It’s terrible that we didn’t win the game against Guelph, but everyone played very well. I hope that today we [puisse] have the same energy as yesterday and that we [puisse] win this match!
she said.
According to her, the strength of her team lies in a very specific aspect.
« I think it’s the defense. We put a lot of effort on the pitch and our coach [nous] gives a lot of productivity and energy, so that’s great. »
The University of Winnipeg team has so far recorded 4 defeats and 4 victories.
