The portal of the Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labor, Solidarity and Population Protection of Haute-Corse (DDETSPP) was blown up during an explosion that occurred around 7:30 p.m., this Monday, December 30. The premises are located in the industrial zone of Purettone, in the municipality of Borgo. The building notably houses the state veterinary services. According to initial information, the damage is minor and no injuries have been reported.

The deminers are currently on site, with the judicial police, to carry out their findings. Access to the site was completely blocked by the national police. The prefect is also assisting in the investigations which are continuing with the support of the mine clearance services and the dog team.

According to the first elements, no avenue seems favored for the moment, but the choice to target this public building, in an off-center and therefore not very visible area, is particularly noteworthy since no claim has been found on the places.

The prefect condemns “with the greatest firmness”

An investigation was opened for “destruction by explosive device”. The judicial police services are seized of this matter.

Michel Prosic, prefect of Haute-Corse, spoke this Monday, late in the evening, to condemn “ with the greatest firmness these facts

committed against a state service in the territory, which works on a daily basis to protect the populations in the department.
