The title may seem completely obvious to you given our place in the Ligue 1 standings. However, the statistic that we are going to present to you demonstrates this idea perfectly.

The DATA'Foot Twitter account published a map concerning the offensive and defensive performances of the championship teams. The observation is clear, Montpellier is the team which underperforms the most in both areas and is very far ahead/behind its competitors. However, this statistic is not only negative, since in fact it demonstrates that we can only do better and that we have the situations to get out of it.

Concretely, this means that we have an area of ​​improvement which exists and which is very real, which is perhaps not the case for teams which outperform and which will perhaps slow down later in the season. This is particularly the case for FC Nantes offensively or even for AJ Auxerre in both areas. So let's keep a positive spirit by telling ourselves that it is possible to do better since the situations exist.
