Wydad Casablanca has reached an agreement with Renaissance Berkane to benefit from the services of Munir El Mohamedi during the Club World Cup scheduled for this summer, according to close sources cited by Hesport.
This agreement would allow El Mohamedi to join the ranks of Wydad during the exceptional transfer period established by FIFA to help participating clubs prepare for this prestigious competition.
Wydad officials are accelerating negotiations to finalize several recruitments during this special period. Discussions are underway with several international players in order to strengthen the squad in view of this major deadline.
It should be noted that FIFA recently approved the opening of a temporary transfer window, allowing players whose contracts expire on June 30, 2025 to join clubs participating in the Club World Cup.
This exceptional transfer window will extend from June 1 to 10, with the possibility for players to join their new teams a few days before the official end of their contracts.
This measure aims to facilitate the preparations of the 32 clubs which will take part in the competition, which will take place in the United States between June and July 2025.
