From December 17, 2024 to February 6, 2025, the Crédit Coopératif Foundation opens applications for the 2025 ESS Inspiration Prizes. This national competition rewards projects carried out by social and solidarity economy (ESS) structures working for general interest, with financial support of up to 10,000 euros.
A competition to promote local and responsible initiatives
Since their creation in 1983, the ESS Inspiration Awards have supported projects that provide concrete solutions to social and environmental issues. Open to all ESS structures within the meaning of the law of July 31, 2014, these prizes encourage various initiatives: social inclusion, promotion of ecology, development of education or even citizenship. In 2025, the Crédit Coopératif Foundation intends to once again promote actions that contribute to a positive impact on the regions.
The selection process is based on a progressive system. The projects are first examined at the local level by Crédit Coopératif members, before competing at the regional level. Finally, the best initiatives are presented to the Foundation’s board of directors for the award of the prestigious National Prize. Local winners will be revealed in spring 2025, providing projects with valuable visibility within their community.
Financial support and perspectives for the social and solidarity economy
The ESS Inspiration Awards offer financial grants essential to the development of award-winning initiatives. Each project can hope to win between 3,500 and 10,000 euros depending on its level of reward, concrete support to accelerate its implementation or extension. This support is part of the Crédit Coopératif Foundation’s commitment to strengthening the impact of the social and solidarity economy, seen as a viable response to contemporary challenges.
With 40 years of experience, the Crédit Coopératif Foundation has already supported more than 2,500 projects in France. By renewing this call for projects, it confirms its role as a catalyst for a more equitable and sustainable society, in line with the environmental and social aspirations of citizens. Applicants have until February 6, 2025 to submit their projects.
