« We all have a flop 3 in the history of the Girondins de Bordeaux, players who left their mark on us but in a bad way. We talked a lot about the players who made us dream. Maybe some didn't follow in the 80s, late 70s, but there was a player called Cabrera, who came to play for the Girondins de Bordeaux. He arrived from Argentina, called by Claude Bez. There are people who wonder what he came to do there (laughs) and we all wondered what Cabrera came to do. But the most is Claude Bez who still said in an interview 'I think they sent us his cousin'. It's pretty huge. Maybe you didn't know him but the guy did anything on the pitch and it had the gift of exasperating Claude Bez. In 2 I put Moussa Maazou. Everyone obviously knew Moussa Maazou. Then first I put Christian, the Brazilian striker. We bought it for 80 million francs at the time, it was huge. He was one of the best players at Paris Saint-Germain. It was a big hit when it arrived and when we bought it, and it flopped. It doesn't work at all, it's totally backwards at the Girondins de Bordeaux. For me it's the biggest flop in the history of the Girondins de Bordeaux, given what he did on the pitch, but especially the fact that we bought him for 80 million francs. For the time it was huge when he arrived in Bordeaux. »
