Julia Scheib comes in sixth place in the women’s giant slalom in Semmering.

The 26-year-old Styrian (+1.30 seconds) moved up seven places in the decider with a better time on the ground; after the first lap, she was still 1.70 seconds behind in 13th place.

Haaser solid, Gritsch scores points

Ricarda Haaser (+2.28) achieved a strong result with twelfth place, Franziska Gritsch (+4.34) also scored World Cup points in 29th place.

Katharina Liensberger, Viktoria Bürgler and Victoria Olivier could not qualify for the second round. Stephanie Brunner was eliminated in the first run thanks to good split times, and Katharina Huber also failed to reach the finish. Lower Austria fell from the starting house (read here >>>).
