A motorist fled after driving into police officers this Friday in La Teste-de-Buch, near Arcachon (Gironde), not far from the Leclerc shopping center, in the middle of the afternoon. One of the agents used his weapon three times to try to stop the fugitive, according to a source close to the case, confirming information from South West.
No injuries have been reported and searches to find the driver are underway. This man has been identified, he is well known to the police.
A suspect already convicted several times
The police were on patrol in the area when they spotted a suspect who, upon seeing them, rushed back into his vehicle before suddenly driving off. The police tried to intercept him but the driver refused to comply and rushed towards the police. A police officer then fired his weapon three times at the suspect's vehicle. The latter continued on his way and could not be stopped.
The fugitive was nevertheless identified by the police. This is a man who has already been convicted several times by the courts, indicates the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office. An investigation has been opened and the suspect is being sought.
