“Squid Game” is the most popular series on the Netflix platform. In front of the phenomena of “Stranger Things” or “Wednesday”, it rose to the top of the ranking at the start of the 2021 school year when its first season had just been revealed. A first for a South Korean series.
Three years later, we find Seong Gi-hun, player 456 ready to take his revenge on the cruel game he won at the end of season 1. Indeed, the latter discovered in the last episodes the role that played his friend in the game, number 001, in organizing the game.
A season 2 marked by suspense
Season 2 of “Squid Game” starts off very strong. Indeed, in the first episodes, the pace is intense. We quickly discover the recruitment of new players orchestrated by Gong Yoo, but also the return of emblematic games like “Un, Deux, Trois, Soleil”. A game dynamic led by Seong Gi-hun who knows the sadistic rules and tries to destroy Artie from the inside. Fans will be surprised by new games but also by a long-awaited confrontation.
The rhythm of the episodes will then be louder and drag out the plot over a few episodes. A choice which earns this second season more mixed opinions in the face of a repetitive and bloody plot. Looking for something new, spectators and fans of the series will however be delighted with a new rule. In this new game, players can take turns voting if they want to continue the game or for the game to end. A diabolical possibility which promises to warm up the spirits.

A season which therefore seems to be mixed between totally captivating episodes and an already known perspective of the game. However, it is the unmissable suspense that will keep players and spectators in suspense over the seven episodes of the season revealed this December 26.
A season 3 already in preparation?
Fans of the series will be happy to find the crazy adventures of the game “Squid Game” for a third season. In fact, the director of the series Hwang Dong-hyeok confided to “Premiere” that he still had a lot of ideas that he had to share to keep the spectators in suspense: “At first, I only wanted to do season 2. And then as I wrote, I realized that I had a lot of things to say. The script ended up being much longer than I had in mind. So instead of making a very long sequel, a season 2 which would certainly have been a little tedious to follow, I decided to cut it into two seasons (2 and 3) and present it as a trilogy. »
Yet another season which was filmed in the wake of season 2 and which is already in post-production. A speed which suggests that season 3 would be broadcast more quickly than season 2. The director states on this subject: “We have finished filming season 3, but it is still in post-production. I still haven’t seen the final cut of the last few episodes. I’m very curious to see what this will give…”
