A collision between several vehicles occurred this Friday, December 27 near Castelnaudary on the A61 motorway in the direction of Carcassonne-Narbonne.
Although no injuries have been reported, significant traffic jams have formed and Vinci autoroutes advises motorists coming from Toulouse to take exits no. 21 and no. 22 at Castelnaudary and Bram. However, it is not recommended to use these two motorway entrances at this time.

Around 2 p.m., the traffic jams tend to subside with a journey time lengthened by around thirty minutes between the west and east ends of the department with traffic on a single lane at Bram.
At 3:30 p.m., the accident response was completed. Traffic remains very heavy in this sector and it is always advisable to exit and not enter the Castelnaudary toll no. 21.
