Thursday, December 26, a joint operation carried out by the national and municipal police made it possible to close two establishments in the city center of La Seyne-sur-Mer. This action targeted drinking establishments and other businesses, as part of the fight against trafficking and illegal practices.

A joint operation in the city center

The operation, planned to strengthen the security and compliance of night establishments, is part of a global strategy aimed at combating trafficking and fraudulent practices. Law enforcement officers checked several establishments, examining licenses, staff working conditions and the quality of products offered to customers.

Two administrative closures

Among the businesses inspected, two establishments were immediately closed for serious infractions:

  • Illegal and hidden work : one of the establishments employed undeclared workers, in flagrant violation of the Labor Code.
  • Sale of products unfit for consumption : the second establishment offered food and drink products that did not meet health standards, thus endangering the health of consumers.

These administrative closures were decided on site due to the seriousness of the facts observed. The managers of the two establishments could also face additional legal and administrative sanctions.

An approach welcomed by local residents

This operation was welcomed by many residents of the city center, tired of the nuisance and illegal behavior. “These checks show that the authorities take security and public order problems seriously,” said a local resident. The municipality also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting such initiatives to guarantee the tranquility and security of citizens.

Reinforced vigilance

The authorities recalled that such operations would be renewed regularly to ensure compliance with regulations and deter illicit practices. They also call on citizens to report any suspicious behavior to contribute to the effectiveness of control actions.
