On September 13, Amir unveiled his new project, entitled C Friendr. A work in which he speaks in complete privacy about an ordeal he recently went through, the death of his mother. The latter succumbed to her pancreatic cancer, after 20 months of battle. “This experience confused us all, made us go through a bad family patch, from which we still have not recovered, we will certainly never recover“, confided the artist with emotion, a few weeks ago, on the set of C to you.
Despite his immense grief, Amir continues to move forward, and intends to defend his new album on stage. However, he had bad news on this subject to announce to his community this Friday, December 27. “My dear friends, it is with regret that I announce my absence from the Soli'Live event on January 5 at the Dôme de Marseille, for family reasonss“, he initially wrote.
And added: “This gala is essential, and I thank you for continuing to fully support it (as a reminder, this is a solidarity concert, which is for the benefit of two associations that work with sick children, editor's note).” Then conclude: “Thank you for your understanding, I hope to see you again soon, and wish you a wonderful holiday!“
Amir soon to be a father for the third time
Amir therefore did not wish to reveal the exact reason for this cancellation. But what we do know is that he is expecting a child. Indeed, already father of two boys, Mikhaël born in February 2019 and Gold which was born in July 2022, the singer is preparing to expand his family in the coming weeks, with the arrival of a third little boy.
Hoping then that this is the reason which pushes him to cancel his visit to the Soli’Live. And not a health problem or other. As a reminder, he had been victim of a serious accident during a concert in Aubagne in 2019. He severely fractured his wrist, after a heavy fall. He was subsequently forced to cancel several projects, including his participation in Dancing with the stars.
