In the absence of the best cyclo-cross specialists, including most of the Dutch, there was a great victory to be had this Friday for the usual outsiders on theAzencross – or Cross des As – in Loenhout, scene of the 5th round of theExact Cross. Taking advantage of this fairly weak starting list, Marion Norbert Riberolle gave themselves a great Christmas present by winning a second success this winter, after a race contested in cold, wet and foggy conditions. Already winner of the 2nd stage of the competition in Essen two months ago, the Belgian of the team Crelan – Corendon beat her compatriot and teammate Sanne Cant of 23 seconds after five laps of the circuit.

A young British nugget on the podium
Title holder, the immortal Belgian champion achieved at 34 her best result of the season and her first podium. The two locals are accompanied on the box by the very young Briton Imogen Wolffwho signs the best performance of his career among the Elites at only 18 years old! The resident of the Team Visma | Lease a Bike Womenwith whom she will turn professional in 2025, finishes ahead of the Dutchwoman Larissa Hartog and the Belgian Julie Brewers.
