Communiqué :
PUBLIC SAFETY MEASURES FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE
Faced with the risks of disturbances to public order likely to occur on New Year's Eve, the prefect of Saône-et-Loire, Yves SÉGUY, has taken several administrative police measures aimed at preserving security and tranquility public.
Consequently, from Tuesday December 31, 2024 at 6 a.m. to Thursday January 2, 2025 at 6 a.m., in all municipalities in the department, the following will be prohibited:
– the purchase, sale, possession, transport and use of category F2, F3 fireworks appearing on the list established by the decree of December 17, 2021, as well as F4 and F4 fireworks Pyrotechnic fireworks of categories P1 and P2 except for people who can justify their use as part of a pyrotechnic show or as part of a fireworks display previously declared and authorized by the mayor of the municipality concerned ;
– the retail sale of domestic fuels including flammable gas, and petroleum products in any transportable container, as well as their transport by individuals;
From Tuesday December 31, 2024 at 6 p.m. to Thursday January 2, 2025 at 8 a.m., in all municipalities in the department, the following will also be prohibited:
– the sale or gift to a minor of nitrous oxide;
– the possession, consumption, deposit or abandonment of aluminum cartridges, canisters and bottles containing nitrous oxide or any other pressurized container containing this gas in public spaces;
– the misuse of nitrous oxide gas for recreational purposes in public spaces;
And, from Sunday December 29, 2024 at 5 p.m. to Thursday January 2, 2025 at 8 a.m., in all municipalities in the department, the following will be prohibited:
– the holding of festive gatherings of a musical nature, whatever the number of participants, meeting all the characteristics set out in article R.211-2 of the Internal Security Code, other than those regularly declared to the prefecture and sub-prefectures,
– the circulation of any vehicle transporting “sound system” equipment or generators likely to be used for an unauthorized event.
Finally, from Tuesday December 31, 2024 at 8 p.m. to Wednesday January 1, 2025 at 6 a.m., in the municipalities of Chalon-sur-Saône, Mâcon, Montceau-les-Mines, Le Creusot and Autun will be prohibited:
– consumption of alcohol on public roads.
