Risk of spread
When emergency services were called, it was indicated that the fire could spread to a building housing a medical office and a home, at least, which is why the resources deployed were significant.
The increase in power of these resources went so far as to dispatch nearly 40 firefighters from the centers of Salornay-sur-Guye, Joncy, Montceau-les-Mines, Saint-Bonnet-de-Joux, Mâcon and Cluny.
Lieutenant Bonin, group leader, was subsequently replaced by Captain Romain Comte, column leader.
A relocated neighbor
Firefighters prevented the flames from spreading while a neighbor had to be relocated for the night. Catherine Bertrand, mayor and Jean-Luc Fonteray, departmental councilor, were on site. The gendarmerie from the Cluny brigade community was on the scene as well as the gas and electricity emergency services.
