To bring the magic of Christmas to disadvantaged people, the restaurant Le Presbytère de Lecelles offered around a hundred chic meals to families in Amandinois.
On the morning of Monday, December 23, 41 families benefiting from the ARCAD association (Communication relay assistance for people in difficulty in Amandinois) were invited to go to the Le Presbytère restaurant in Lecelles to collect their Christmas meal.
A party menu like in a restaurant
An initiative taken by the owner of this bistronomic establishment, Romain Vienne, in collaboration with Chrystelle Vandenberghe, the president of the ARCAD association.
The latter wanted to replace the traditional package with a festive meal. The restaurateur immediately convinced his staff who volunteered to prepare the meal, and included a bottle of crémant and a brioche.
On the menu: Scallops gratinated with leek purée, deer stew with mashed potatoes and butternut, chocolate and clementine log.
Local traders mobilized
To compose his menu, Romain Vienne called on other Lecellois traders such as La FrAnne, a micro-brewery and pizzeria as well as the florist Le Jardin secret who respectively provided bottles of beer and bouquets of flowers.
For the 103 people who received this package, it is a way to enjoy a little of the magic of Christmas despite the difficulties of everyday life.
