A broken destiny. American actor Hudson Meek, aged 16, dies in disturbing circumstances after falling from a moving vehicle. The accident occurred on the evening of December 19 in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, according to local news site AL.com. According to Bill Yates, chief deputy coroner, the young actor died of serious injuries caused by a fall on the road. Transported to hospital, he died two days lateron Saturday evening. An investigation was opened by the local police to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident.
“We are devastated to learn that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too brief, but he left his mark and deeply touched all people that he encountered. We ask for your prayers for Hudson’s family and loved ones as we deal with this sudden and tragic loss,” can we read in a press release published on Saturday December 21 on his official Instagram account.
Originally from Alabama, Hudson Meek made himself known for his role as Young Baby in the film Baby Drivernominated for an Oscar, as well as for his appearances in the series MacGyver, itself nominated for an Emmy Award. He also lent his voice to commercials for McDonald’s, Toys R Us, and the famous video game League of Legends. In addition to these projects, he had participated in several previously unreleased films and series, scheduled for release in 2025.
Outside of his acting career, Hudson led a busy life. Second year student at Vestavia Hills High School, he played on his school’s American football team and was part of the honor choir, testifying to his deep religious faith. Passionate about exploration and adventure, he had obtained advanced scuba diving certification at just 14 years old and had already visited all 50 US states.
