Three days after this tragic evening, traders in the gastronomy area of the Christmas market have once again made their emotions known. On its social networks, the city of Ajaccio announces that “their chalets will remain closed until the closing date of the market, this Sunday, December 29.”

At the same time, the prefecture of Corsica issued, on Tuesday, December 24, a administrative closure of Lamparo. In his motivations, the prefect of Corsica recalls the events of November 15, when “the manager of the establishment was the victim of an attempted homicide […] a few meters” before returning to the events of December 23, when the brewery “was experiencing a very high turnout (estimated at around a hundred customers)”. Two dates after which “neither the managers nor the staff have […] cooperated in ongoing investigations.
In its decree, the prefecture also emphasizes “than the aforementioned criminal acts” took place “in and in the immediate vicinity of the establishment and that they involve management, staff and customers” and “are in direct relation to the operating conditions and attendance of the establishment”.
