Beyoncé back on stage. For Christmas, the singer delivered an impressive show during halftime of the American football match between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens, broadcast live on Netflix on December 25.
The artist performed many hits from his latest album for the first time Cowboy Carterreleased last March and was surrounded for the occasion by several guests like Post Malone and Shaboozey as well as her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
Beyoncé began her 12-minute performance of her 16 Carriages title, arriving on a white horse outside of NRG Stadium in Houston. Once inside the stadium, she then went onto the field to perform a medley of Cowboy Carter, accompanied by a brass band and numerous dancers. Finally, the singer concluded her show with her hit Texas Hold ‘Em.
“I’m very honored to be in Texas tonight. It only seems fitting that we play ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ for the first time here in Houston, Texas for Christmas,” she said.
According to the media The Independent, this performance would be part of a 60 million agreement for three projects, signed by Beyoncé and Netflix in 2019. Since then, the singer has unveiled a documentary Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncéestimated at 20 million dollars, according to the American magazine Variety.
Surprise planned for January 14, 2025
For Beyoncé fans who missed this performance, Netflix announced that the singer’s show would soon be available on the platform. Following the broadcast of her concert, the artist also unveiled a video on her social networks in which she announces a surprise to come, on January 14, 2025.
This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has performed at an NFL game. In 2013, the singer was announced as the headliner of the famous Half Time Show at the Super Bowl in New Orleans. She was notably joined on stage by her former partners from the group Destiny’s Child.
The artist did it again in 2016, making a surprise appearance during Coldplay’s Super Bowl halftime concert to perform his song Formation.
