The Baumel armory, located on avenue Magellan, in Marguerittes, in the Gard, was robbed last night. Several dozen weapons were stolen.
Information from our colleagues at France Bleu that France 3 Occitanie is able to confirm. The Nîmes public prosecutor's office has opened a judicial investigation and the Nîmes gendarmerie company is responsible for the investigation.
A burglary took place in a place where weapons were stored.
According to our colleagues from France bleu Gard Lozère: “Kalashnikovs, automatic, semi-automatic pistols, submachine guns and ammunition” are part of the loot.
Investigators are looking for the thieves; using the armory's internal and external video surveillance should help them identify the perpetrators of the burglary.
Contacted around 11 a.m. this Thursday morning by France 3, the Baumel company denied the information and the theft of weapons.
