Everything is ready for the 2024/2025 Serie B boxing day. The teams are called to the field on December 26th, on the 19th matchday in which the first round of the season will end. Serie B has been offering boxing day since the 2012/2013 season and the event is a great success. In the last two years, the spectator count has always exceeded 100 thousand and is one of the most followed days, even remotely. There are currently only three European leagues that have opted for Boxing Day: Serie B, the Premier League and the Belgian Jupiler League.

THE DAY'S PROGRAM

We start at 12.30 with the direct match between Pisa and Sassuolo. The hosts have remained unbeaten in the last nine matches played in front of their fans, while the Emilians have achieved success in the last seven championship matches. The Pisans will take to the field to dispel a taboo and manage to remain unbeaten for the first ten home matches of the season, an event never recorded in the history of the club. However, leaders Sassuolo are having an excellent moment and will do everything they can to win, once again, the three points of victory.

The program thickens at 3pm, when seven matches will start. Brescia takes to the field against Modena for the 80th time in Serie B. The Lombard team has won 35 times, while their opponents have won on 21 occasions. However, 24 matches ended in a draw. At the same time, the challenge between is awaited Cesena and Cremonese. The hosts have suffered three defeats in their last four matches. Cremonese, on the other hand, arrives at boxing day with only one defeat in their last five away games. Spezia meets Mantua, with the two teams hungry for points, even if for two different objectives. The hosts will try to close the gap on Sassuolo at the top of the table, with the Mantuans eager to move up the table instead.

Also at 3pm, it will take place the match between Frosinone and Salernitanaboth teams playing in Serie A last season. The adventure in Serie B didn't start in the best way for the two teams: the yellow-blues are currently last with three victories in 18 games played, while the seahorse is 16th in the standings. December 26th will then be Calabrian derby day, with Catanzaro and Cosenza expected on the pitch. Catanzaro have lost only one of their last 14 matches against Cosenza. The visiting team will look for revenge on this occasion. There Reggiana will meet Juve Stabia for the third time ever in Serie B. Finally, the last match to start at 3:00 pm will be that between Sudtirol and Cittadellawhich will see the 16th and 17th teams in the rankings involved.

In the late afternoon, Palermo will take the field against Bariwith kick-off expected at 6pm. In the previous seven games, the Rosanero have always remained unbeaten. Finally, the boxing day program will conclude the match between Sampdoria and Carrarese. The match will start at 8.30pm and will see the Blucerchiati, unbeaten in the last two matches under the guidance of Leonardo Semplici, engaged against a Carrarese team that boasts ten clean sheets for the season.
