Dacia trembles in the face of its new Chinese rival, with its design that makes you dream and the selling price is crazy.
The market cost of cars has skyrocketed in recent years, which is why customers have been trying to switch to low-cost vehicles as much as possible for some time. This can be seen perfectly with the case of Dacia, a brand that has established itself worldwide for quality and competitive price.
It certainly shouldn't be surprising that it's right there Sandero the best-selling car in all of Europe, considering that it is a city car with larger dimensions than its rivals and at the same time also has a lower price. If therefore there really seems to be no match for the rivals of the Old Continent, the situation becomes much more complicated when we turn towards China.
The Asian nation is one of those that is proving to be in constant and continuous development in the motor sector and is making great use of its leading role in electric. This sector is benefiting quite a bit from Chinese development, so much so that now we can also admire a beautiful new model that undermines the Dacia.
Firefly EV: the news from Nio
Nio is becoming one of the best-known companies in the world for the production of high-quality electric cars, so much so that it recently showed off itself with the launch, on the occasion of the Nio Day, of a new company called Firefly. This will be parallel to the Chinese giant, but will aim to develop exclusively city cars, trying to create an increasingly dominant role.
Firefly's intent, in the words of Nio's CEO, that is William Lee is to create a model that can be “Smarter than the Mini and more Mini than the Smart”. A statement which therefore demonstrates how the gauntlet has been thrown down to the great German giants Mercedes and BMW, with the market launch expected to take place approximately around autumn 2025.
The selling price, as always, will be one of its great strengths, given that nowadays it is virtually impossible to find an electric car that starts from an initial cost of just 19,700 euros. The dimensions will be between 410 and 420 cm, with the official presentation taking place at the Shanghai Fair, while in Europe it will be admired at Monaco Motor Show.
