Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck feels that he has “improved tactically” during his time at the Nerazzurri.
The German spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of today’s Serie A match against Como, via FCInterNews. He also stressed the importance of “giving everything” this evening.
It is certainly no surprise to see Bisseck’s name in the Inter starting eleven at this point.
The 24-year-old has become a regular for the Nerazzurri over the last year and a half.
But it hasn’t been a straightforward path for Bisseck.
When the German arrived at Inter, he was not a big name. He had impressed with Aarhus in the Danish top flight, but there were big questions about how he’d adjust to the level of Serie A.
In his first few months at Inter, Bisseck barely featured.
But that did not mean that that formative period wasn’t a hugely important and productive one for the German.
Inter Milan Defender Yann Bisseck: “I Feel I’ve Improved Tactically”
Bisseck has not looked out of place in the Inter lineup as he has featured more. But that is because he’s worked hard to reach his current level.
Bisseck was asked ahead of this evening’s match against Como where he feels he’s improved a lot.
“From a tactical point of view,” replied the German.
“You learn a lot,” Bisseck said. “Even from watching from the bench.”
“But now I’m playing more,” he added. “Particularly because right now there are a lot of players injured.”
Inter are dealing with a real injury crisis in defense at the moment. The likes of Benjamin Pavard, Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij, and Matteo Darmian are all absent with injuries.
Meanwhile, Bisseck was also asked what the “secret” to coach Simone Inzaghi’s success at Inter is.
“There are no secrets,” the 24-year-old said.
“The secret is to always give our best,” Bisseck went on. “And that’s what the coach always tells us.”
Meanwhile, of his versatility and covering different positions in defense, the German told InterTV “For me it’s no problem.”
“If the coach wants to put his faith in me that’s a good thing. I want to perform well.”
