The effects of disturbance no. 5 of the month are felt throughout the country with rain and thunderstorms, but also strong gusts of wind and snowfall. On Saturday 21 December the weather alert for hydraulic risk is triggered which corresponds to the effects induced on the territory by exceeding critical hydrometric levels, such as possible flood events, along the main watercourses.
L’orange weather alert due to hydraulic risk it was issued only in Emilia Romagna in the Modena plain area. Not only that, theyellow weather alert for hydraulic risk was communicated in the regions and areas:
- Calabria: Southern Tyrrhenian side;
- Emilia Romagna: Romagna coast, Reggio Emilia Po plain, Lower hills and Romagna plain.

Not only that, the state of yellow weather warning was also issued for hydrogeological risk in the following regions and areas:
- Calabria: Southern Tyrrhenian side;
- Campania: Lower Cilento, Upper Volturno and Matese, Campania Plain, Naples, Islands and Vesuvian Area, Sorrento-Amalfi Peninsula, Sarno Mountains and Picentini Mountains, Tusciano and Alto Sele, Sele Plain and Alto Cilento;
